A. Too Close for Comfort [May 5th]

[On this day, Scorpia has received a gift, from Bausphomette themselves. A blanket! How nice. She could always use more comfort! On top of that, it helps her realize a few things, that today's her Blessed Day, and Bausphomette is her Patron Ptuhermian. She takes this news well, because from what she's read about the Patrons, Bausphomette sounds like one of her favorites.

She'll carry her blanket around town and cheerily greet others.]

Hey, happy Blessed Day! ...Or, uh, happy My Blessed Day. [A meek wave of her pincer.] Turns out my Patron Pthumerian's Bausphomette, and they gave me a blanket! Pretty neat, huh?

[Or one can find her at a different time. After she's actually put the blanket to use taking a nap, she wanders around town looking very confused... and very different.]

B. Treat Yourself [test drive]

[Scorpia had been on her way towards the shore to take part in a regular occurrence for her. That would be volunteering to help wake up newly-arrived Sleepers. But she quickly found herself distracted by the festivities taking place. It all seemed like some nice, harmless fun, and so she got caught up in the spirit of festivity!

Garbed in white clothing, she makes her way towards a table with a selection of snacks. And she invites someone to join her!]

Hey there! Want to get your snack on? They've got a real good selection here. And a bunch of drinks, too!

[She has some floral spring rolls and a plate full of the flower cookies, all ready to share! After chewing on one of the spring rolls, her scorpion parts will change to be made of wood, while her hair becomes grassier. She seems oblivious to the effects, however! As for the cookies, they might be one way for friendships to reach new heights!]

C. For the Vine [Event: Imposters]

[And sometimes, just going for a simple walk can cause something unexpected to happen. Take into instance today, when Scorpia never noticed a vine that subtly wrapped along her leg and climbed up it, sprouting flowers. She's soon in a condition to not pay it much mind, as she very quickly seems very out of it. She'll greet anyone she meets with a wide grin.]

Hey! How ya doing?! [Be careful, she might come in for a hug!]

Uh, no . . . We're only halfway through.

Oh.

...But if there's no spinning wheels, what happens next?

Don't worry, I'm getting there.

Anyway, finally Aurora turned sixteen. She was having her birthday and everyone was celebrating. They thought they had beaten the curse. But a strange old woman came to the party and tricked Aurora into pricking her finger on a spindle. The curse took place and she fell into a deep sleep.

[cuddlery]

Oh no! So they played a trick on her anyway. Now that's just messed up! So just like that, she was just... trapped in her sleep?

[danserai]

That's right. She and everyone in the castle all fell asleep for a hundred years.

Until . . . the prince arrived!

[cuddlery]

Wow. A hundred years! Now that, that's a pretty long time to sleep in.

So then a prince arrived? What did he do?

[danserai]

Uhm . . . he was traveling with some friends. He was sad because I think nothing was making him happy. But then the Good Fairy found him and showed him a picture of Aurora and he fell in love.

With her help, he braved her sleeping kingdom and fought the evil fairy. When she was defeated, the Prince bestowed True Love's Kiss.

[cuddlery]

Oh, that is really sad. Even being with his friends couldn't make him happy... [Now that's depressing.] Wait, he fell in love from a picture? I didn't, didn't think that was possible.

And then he saved her... huh. Now that's a twist! Usually princesses are the ones who save everything and everyone. I'm glad things turned out alright for her though!

[danserai]

Really? I don't remember many stories like that.

[cuddlery]

To be fair, most of the stories I heard growing up were about princesses being evil... but in reality, they're the heroes! There's a whole Princess Alliance back home. I guess we're our own stories!

[danserai]

How many princesses do you have . . .

[cuddlery]

Ooh! Y'know, I never really counted? Let's see. You've got Entrapta, Perfuma, there's Glimmer - oh but she's a queen now, I don't think she counts anymore? But she's part of the Princess Alliance, so she counts in my heart! So then there's Frosta and Mermista and Spinerella and Netossa... [She thinks some more.] Sweet Bee and the Star Sisters... I guess She-Ra counts as one too...

[And she frowns as she really tries to focus.]

I'm missing one, I know it! Who could it be? [Finally, she laughs.] Oh right, it's me! So that makes... some number of princesses!

[danserai]

[ woooow. ]

You're a princess?

[cuddlery]

[She chuckles sheepishly.]

Oh yeah! Didn't, uh, didn't mention that, did I? I mean, I wasn't really acting as a princess for most of my life? But, that's what I am. Princess of the Fright Zone and the Scorpioni people, Scorpia, at your service!

[danserai]

That doesn't matter! A princess is a princess!

Besides, many princesses find out they're princesses later. Like — Like — I don't know any but I'm sure it's a story theme!

[cuddlery]

Aw, thanks Ahiru! You're right. I- I am a princess! I actually did know all my life, I was just... living as a Horde soldier instead! I used to think I wouldn't fit in with princesses and that they could be the bad guys, but boy was I wrong! [A little laugh.] Anyway, that does sound like a great type of story! I'm sure there are ones like that out there.

[danserai]

We can look for one later if you want.

But I think your story is great too.

[cuddlery]

That could be fun! And thanks, it's really nice of you to say that! I never thought it sounded like some great story.

Oh, but we still have to finish this story! The sleeping beauty.

[danserai]

Right.

Well, the kiss worked! Sleeping Beauty was able to wake up and they fell in love. The whole kingdom woke up too! They got married and lived happily ever after.

[cuddlery]

That's great! [She claps her pincers together.]

I love a happy ending. They're just so... happy! I never understood aiming for anything other than that kind of outcome. I'm glad that they found each other and woke up and lived their best lives... great story overall. Ten out of ten.

[danserai]

A lot of the stories are like that.

[ not all . . . like giselle or swan lake or romeo and juliet . . . okay maybe less than she thought. ]

You should look them up if you want.

Oh, I intend to! I want to check out all kinds of happy stories. ...Another time though! After... after nap time!

Yeah! You... you sleepy yet?

Maybe a little. I'm going to get more comfortable.
