wannasmash: (fight crouch)

He's had a much more solemn and burdensome finger pointed at him, literally and metaphorically, telling him it's his turn.

"This isn't a game," he says lightly, in the face of Chara's flurry of attacks that say, plainly, they're another of Paul's friends who knows the chaos of a real fight. He can't think about that too deeply right now. It doesn't change what he has to do.

There's no room to smile now as he concentrates. Despite suspecting he's being goaded, he's decided he won't give Chara much time to rest anyway. Everyone has a limit, and Chara doesn't seem the type for hard physical endurance, from what little he's gained from their show of moves.

He edges in, testing how closely knit their defense is with quick jabs and darting kicks. He keeps his target areas high and his attacks low and stable, using what height he has against a smaller opponent. This careful dance doesn't make for an immediately exciting, acrobatic match like his last with Paul, nor are these moves large, showy, or designed to inflict appreciable damage. He can't afford to leave himself open to the unknown.

Eventually he drops into a low stance and ducks towards Chara, twisting when he's close to obfuscate his intention. He's been criticized for telegraphing his moves before and is trying to fix that. He attempts to get in Chara's blind spot with a back kick.
