he'll be happy to move to pal's lap, a soft and amused huff at the direction to do so, as though he wasn't planning on the destination. rare he gets to loom over pal, the tall bastard, but enjoyable, a good way to look into his pretty eyes. he thumb the corner of one, where crows feet will one day settle he hopes, after pal's lived a long and full life.

sometimes he wonders where he imagines that life being. here, a place he has grown fond of but still beats them down every chance it gets? or elsewhere, the way some people seem to fixate on escape to gentler places.
