The danger with broaching the topic he most wants to discuss is that he will accidentally awaken some ancient Dark that shouldn't be awoken. Gaia might not be aware of it at all. He had made his offer to Gaia to push down the memories that came from him, but he's not going to bring it up again. She knows the offer is there, if she chooses to cope another way D isn't that bothered by the fragments of himself she's learning to pick apart from herself. Or the possibility that there are pieces of him that will simply become part of her. Gaia's sewing skill certainly has improved, as has her knowledge of home repair.
