And she probably would have answered. But D is heeding her request to let her handle it on her own for now and that's what she's grateful for.

But Gaia isn't that sort of person. She gives a wry smile. "I tried to use the powers I had before I came to Trench to stop the memories. And... probably toward your attempt to put me to sleep. Is that what you're talking about?"
