[Said with the inflection of used cart salesman trying to pawn off an old clunker. Vyng is only half-kidding, though, and he chuckles as he motions over toward the house.]

I should think everyone has animals that do that. I've also had Uri with me for months.

[ Gaia will at least be a willing participant in trying her hand at basic farm work and not afraid to ask questions. Even if it eventually winds up being about poop. ]

[The stables and half-finished greenhouse are in the courtyard toward the back of the compound. Gaia will find a flock of chickens wearing an assortment of crocheted hats — courtesy of the previous founders, and yes, the chickens are fine with it, Vyng points out. The rest of their time is spent getting the ladies ready to shelter in place until the storm has passed.
