Luz looked up, surprised at the voice. They may have only met once or twice, but Luz had felt strangely compelled to this demon, one that she had bestowed kindness to her that she felt indebted to. She hadn't seen him in so long, she thought he'd gone back into the ocean.

"I didn't know you were still here! Maybe I should have been paying more attention."

She stared into the water. "A lot goes on in such a short amount of time."
