[wolf is far less of a personality at the moment, still mostly treated as dabi's messenger and weapon than a pet, companion, or friend. but that doesn't mean it's stunted in its development as one. only slowed down. meaning it's more likely to go trail after kizu and follow her around than to gallivanting around or a chase. kizu can catch it pretty easily, but tackling wolf is a lot harder than it seems, due to its size. but that also means changing from chase and tackle to jump and pounce is more its speed and wolf opts to let her catch it half the time, the other times noticing and moving out to the way to train her reflexes. or, you know, at least try to. it's more the older brother that certainly cares, but is too tired to show it as much.

Animals? The way the Sanctuary goes on about it, you'd think every damn beast was some poor kid who wandered around in the forest too long. [his voice drops into a lazy, but mocking sort of tone.] They really gonna be so protective as to try and save a buncha corrupted birds and rabbits?

[wolf makes sure to interrupt kizu's tumbles if it senses her headed towards anything dangerous. not that it'd really matter, but still... it's only when the wolf senses something "more" nearby that it abruptly puts a paw on kizu's back to put her to the ground.]
