"Yeah, I can see why you'd be hesitant to do that. Her idea of justice is cold and hard, and it doesn't have much of a yield."

And HER Pthumerian was said to be loyal to her, so Luz couldn't imagine what that relationship was like, if such a thing could even be called that. But she certainly hears the quiet anger in her voice.

"I don't. People are very literal when it comes to religion, which is kind of weird. Gods don't TALK in literal ways to us like they think, do they? They're like aliens, in that their ways and ours don't quite mesh. In any case, I brought my own kind of magic here, and I was able to keep it. I have their blood magic, but I'm not turning my nose at my abilities. I had to earn those."

So to put it bluntly, Luz figured the Pthumerians had their version of a world, and Sleepers had their own.
