leaning toward h/w a fairly even (neo edging out vi tho) fight and cut to drinks?

[vi: forgetting about a lanterns on a regular basis, yes that's a thing. she'll have quite a reason to stop doing that, soon.

she's never been to the arena, proper - should have, would have - well, she's doing it now. she's been training on the beach, at the outpost, launching herself into some things that perhaps she shouldn't, but she's had a reasonable run of luck, here, and she hasn't yet been tempted to truly learn new weapons.

and what she finds is a bit more impressive than she'd expected, in all senses. neo is like her sister in some ways - she's all in and focused - she's precise - and she seems to have a way of predicting more often than not where and how vi will strike next.

also: she's a hell of a blocker (take note vi!), and vi finds she has to get creative - think and move, which hasn't always been her strong suit. she does manage to land blows, but it's a long time before neo shows any sense of tiring - never really seems worn down. it spurs violet on, pushes her to leave her inhibitions in the dust, but she ends up in that dust at least an equal amount of times.

she's growling, clanging her gauntlets together as she gets up once again from that dust, but she's anything but mad about it. when all is done, she spits blood on the ground, split lip making a split smile - and she will huff a breath and hold out her hand for shaking.

if that's something neo wants to do - she's met a fair few that are not big on the handshake and eh, that's fine. it's a personal space thing, maybe.]

Guess drinks are on me.

[lmk if i need to change anything!]
