No current, and at the same time there was also no leverage because the boards were wet and covered with mosses, lichens and the like. Still, once it was wedged open, Vira-Lorr jammed a piece of tough looking flotsam in, helping to keep it forced open. When she'd done that, she started to float down in, lighting her omni like a makeshift torch.

Within was the hold of a very old vessel. It was gloomy beyond all recognition, but it was above all silent as a tomb. Nothing swam in here. No bodies floated. There were crates everywhere, but it seemed almost darkly peaceful, enough to give her the willies a little. She looked back at Makoto and pointed to the crates or the door further in, wanting to know what she wanted to try first.
