Murderbot is glad that the safety and well being of... generic people, it'll say since its people aren't here, don't depend on it and this human knowing about boats. They'd probably all die. Something about standing on a beach inspecting a sunken boat with someone else who manages to know less about boats than it does strikes Murderbot as comical.
"None of those locations mean anything to me," it admits. That isn't anything new. It's been here such a short time, and no one has named a single location that it recognizes. It's far far far out the other end of some wormhole without a bearing.
"Have you heard of the Corporation Rim?" it asks. Few people have heard of Preservation unless they've watched the recent news. To get that, they already have to know about the Corporation Rim. It's a reasonable starting point. If that's a no, the rest isn't going to mean anything.
"I'm used to traveling across space," Murderbot adds. "We're a long way from home."
