Granted, that's still a guess on her part. Chizuru had been an outsider who was brought in under special circumstances. She wouldn't dare fully count herself one of them, let alone know exactly what they were thinking at any given moment.

But what she does know is that the men of the Shinsengumi certainly wouldn't want the entire world to know about all their secrets.

"It's just.." For a moment her voice trails off, but then she shakes her head.

If it is kind enough to want to help her here, then she owes it the truth. She straightens up a little, standing firm. It is a little scary to say this, especially since she was worried before about it judging her, and clearly it could do the same in the face of her saying this.

"I miss them." The truth, plain as day. "I've been away from them for months now, when I'm used to spending each and every single day around them back home.
