Duty chuckles once. The wilderness is dangerous, and there's no shortage of beasts, both those who fight for and with them and those attracted to them as prey. There's a team though, not one person stretched thin and far. Corruption is dangerous, but human connection combats it. Even little things like sharing food and conversation. Community makes them all stronger.
"There's conversation, connection, or if you get really bad, I'll ask to borrow a friend's blanket," Duty says deadpan. The blanket was a gift from Augustine's patron Pthumerian. A way of forcing someone to calm down. "It'll get there in time."
He looks over at Luke, wondering how much truth lies in the sarcasm. It's a bump he'd usually let go. It hasn't been a problem, and Duty has enough problems. As has regularly been the case lately, that's harder to do. "You don't have to fear corruption and monster attack. They're a part of life here, and we have each other's backs," he points out.
