August + September Catchall

What: A somewhat late August catchall, focusing on event stuff but can include CR logs and slice of life! When September's event goes up I'll add prompts for the month in order to save a bit of space. [Sadly, or possibly for the best, she didn't get a chance to see that world from eye-to-eye. Himiko questions the world as she moves forward, the meaning of survival. Most of the time she accepts people long as they respect back. As for L's statement, she isn't sure what to think. That topic slowly rolls off the table.

Everything around her fell quiet and still as L's lips continued to move without a sound. The only sound she was able to hear was the beat from her heart thumping. The beat began steady, slowly increasing more as L's lips continued to move, intimidating? The moment L's lips stopped chattering, her eyes dilated and fixed on the detective ready to move like a hunter catching her prey. No warning, she stepped forward and leaped up and towards him holding her blade with both hands aiming for his shoulder. It was a quick and reckless attack.

Something inside was afraid and stirred for the worst. This person had to go, he's an enemy. Her objective at this moment was to plant this blade on him, stop his plot. This squid wasn't about to go down.]

[L's not immediately aware of any danger. If anything, he believes that this is going unexpectedly smoothly. His good turn, so far, has gone unpunished.

And then he's rounded on, charged, and stabbed, and the force of it knocks him onto the pavement, more bone and cloth than any real substance. The wind knocked out of him, he chokes for breath, silver blood gushing with his pounding heart.

His omen, a large orca matriarch, has her turn to charge. While her sleeper seems frail in body, she's uncommonly powerful and fiercely protective of him. She sends her body towards Himiko in a rocketing punch, trying to separate the two of them to the very best of her ability.]
