The force of the blast is strong enough that it sends the man flying through the air, before Daniel lands back into the sand of the arena a small distance away from the other man. It doesn't sound like a soft landing, but if Johnny bothers to look he will be able to see that Daniel is still moving, already looking like he's trying to get up despite the ache in his bones from the impact of his fall.
.. if Johnny bothers looking in the other direction too, he might be able to spot the source of that water blast - a monster they sent out into the arena to make things more interesting.
The audience seems to sure be into it, judging by the cheers. ]
