First things first - keeping Ruby safe is the top priority. Keeping her from falling over included. And while Ange certainly isn't strong enough to just carry the other girl the way Ruby does for her so often, she can cheat a little. Her blood magic can make things levitate, after all, and so she leaves most of Ruby's weight up to magic as she scroops the girl up in her arms, lifting her off the ground - holding her close.
When the light she created disappears, Ange just glares at the cultists. She'll take them over the monster outside for a moment. She knows she can't intimidate a monster, but at least she can attempt it in front of people. ]
