Who: Uchiha Sasuke and you
What: Sasuke's memory lapses/losses become more difficult for everyone (including himself) when he starts to forget more of his recent past and reverts back to his... crazy ass self before Naruto punched some sense into him.
When: Middle to the end of September
Where: All around.
Content Warnings: Sasuke's usual warnings apply, but most likely to come up from them are mass murder, PTSD, parent death, revenge, and Sasuke being an asshole about everything. Specific threads will be marked if there's intense content.
[ Sasuke wasn't ever a very fun or even pleasant person to deal with most of the time, but by the time it hits mid-month and he's forgotten everything from his redemption mission, including why he went on it in the first place, it's only getting worse. He's testier (whether it's because of his basic personality or because he woke up unable to recall when or how he'd lost an entire limb is up for debate), more prone to lashing out, and certainly doesn't want to show compassion or empathy to just about anyone the way he'd started to in this place.
Mostly, he's trying to avoid the confusion and the headaches, keeping his distance and looking for distractions. The easiest place to find him throughout the month is down by the shores, where he'll either be training or maybe taking his aggression out on some of those crabs that keep getting found at the coast. He gets to kill something and he's a fan of crab meat, so it's a win/win situation here.
If he's not by the shores, he might be at the Gate. It's hard to tell if he's been impacting by the Bloodsport, but he's more than happy to fight anyone who has been. He doesn't plan on holding back, even if it's a face he should be familiar with. While he doesn't have as much control over his Rinnegan as he might have with all of his memories, some of it seems to be instinct, and he's a quick learner all the same. With all the rage he has to channel, it's hard to talk him out of fighting, but it can be done if someone's dedicated enough to the cause.
Or maybe he can be caught before a fight, staring at the beasts locked away inside. His mind seems a little lost, like he's trying to put together a puzzle when he's missing too many pieces. There are emotions that he hasn't forgotten, even if the memories are gone, and staring at the beasts stirs that up in him in a way he can't quite put his finger on.
He can also be found around the Willful Machine, particularly near his home, though rarely in the actual apartment. He's been avoiding being home as much as possible, given that it's a little awkward to be around people you lived with and apparently a woman you married even though you know nothing about it. He's not really looking into actually getting anything, though, and his most popular place to hide out in is the stables. If horses judge you, they can't really say anything about it. It's peaceful and he could use some peace with how loud his head feels.
If someone who clearly knows him approaches him while he's trying to avoid, he'll give a huff, or an eye roll and possibly even a quick "Get lost." Apparently he's less than happy to be reminded he has friends. ]

The way he swears about it only makes her feel worse. Slowly she turns around, her cheeks red, and she tries to not look down. The only problem with not looking down is that basically has to look up, at him. She had to quickly remind herself that Sasuke, as he was now, would never treat her so carelessly. Quickly she plays through the memories of the previous night and the comfort they'd taken with each other as the month kept spiraling.
"Shitting you?" She tried to look stern, but she couldn't keep the hurt out of her eyes. "Is it really so hard to believe. You cared about me once." She knows more about his thought process back now. "Enough to consider staying in Konoha."

At this point in his life, Sasuke had buried those memories so deep, he'd almost forgotten about them entirely. He feels his throat tighten at the reminder of it, that night she'd threatened to scream and wake the village, the way that her begging to let him come with her had made him want to keep her safe at all costs. He clenches his fist at his side and allows himself to be the one to look away, eyes glaring off to the side rather than daring to look at her face at that moment.
"That was a long time ago," he says finally, his voice quiet and not as resolved as he'd like it to be. There's no reason she should know the truth of that. He'd never told her. Unless he had. "I'm not that boy anymore."

She knows she just has to remember that this is the man she loves, and that he's back to carrying the same pain that she wanted to spare him from. If anything, he needs her patience now. But that patience is at odds with how much she's hurting because of it.
"No, you're not." She looks back to his eyes firmly, "you stopped being a boy the moment you lost your arm." She aches to reach out and touch him, but she worries he'll run away. "And you've grown into an amazing man."
no subject
He doesn't know that he wants to grow into an amazing man. Amazing men didn't avenge their clans. Amazing men didn't get justice for the wrong doings of an entire government. And then there's the fact that something inside of him hadn't planned on growing up at all.
He turns away from her, going to scan the room, trying to find where he'd keep his clothes. He doesn't want to be naked anymore. Not after that.
"I don't think we have the same definition of amazing."

She watches him look around the room and realizes that he's probably looking for his clothes. She goes over to the place he'd left them and picks them up. She's grown quite proud of the fact that they she's so in tune with him. So in tune, in fact, that she can guess that his rinnegan is making it that much harder on him. She recognizes his reaction from the moments where he starts to slip into corruption. So after she hands him his clothes, she goes to one of the bureaus and grabs out an eyepatch.
"Here, this should help." She offers it out as soon as he's finished getting dressed.

The eyepatch he doesn't immediately accept, though. He stares at it, unsure of how she knew he needed it, and uncomfortable with the fact that she'd been able to figure him out so easily. He frowns, eyes not leaving the patch in her hand, before he goes to snatch it away quickly, as though that will make it feel less embarrassing.
He drops his clothes onto the mat, going to try and awkwardly start to fumble into them. Memories of not losing his arm means also losing memories of how to function without it. The underwear isn't so bad to get into, and the pants he struggles with but eventually manages to pull them up. The belt, though? And the shirt? There's already some cursing as he attempts to figure out how to pull in a button up shirt with only one fucking hand.

Either way, she acts on instinct and moves quickly to assist him. At the last second she remembers that he doesn't recall her being his wife, so he might be put off by it. She stops just as she's reaching for the buttons on his shirt.
"May I?" Her voice is quiet and a little bit shy, not unlike the first time she asked to unbutton them. Meanwhile she's ignoring her own state of dress, since she's focused on other things.
no subject
But he finally relents, letting his arm drop and looking away from her. It's a silent acceptance of her offer, apparently still too proud to say it out loud.

It feels like a small success when he relents and allows her to help him. She does so with a certain amount of trepidation, but all the care of a woman who loves him.
She works quickly and takes a step back. "There. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon, you did before."
no subject
"Thank you," he finally mutters, almost reluctantly. "I..." He frowns, before turning towards the door. "I'm going to go find something to eat. You should get dressed, too."
no subject
When he mentions that she should get dressed, she's reminded of how little she's wearing in front of him. She shades her eyes, pulling the tie on her robe a bit tighter and gives a nod.
"OKay, I'll go...do that. We'll talk soon." It's a lame response, but she doesn't have much else, because her eyes are watering. Before she can start crying, she hurries off to the bathroom.
