( He hears the shriek of pain from the creature, feels it falling off of him, but the demon's energy is now focused on attacking, and he's snarling after the Omen again, pupils blown huge and black.
But there's an interruption, one that snatches his focus from the Omen and right onto the other girl, the one with darker hair. A name spoken aloud β Peter
The demon freezes. Eyes wide and locked on, for a moment seeming... stunned. Perhaps even caught by the name. But then that flurry of upset and anger swells again, as he catches sight of a flash of blue behind the red-haired girl. The one he'd thrown against the wall.... and his anger re-finds its original source. She'd attacked him, and he needs to get to herβ but the other girl stands between them.
He can't think, can't reason, anymore. All he wants is to get to the (perceived) source of his rage and upset, and to tear through any obstacles in his way. Peter's blunt nails scramble against wooden floors as the demon quickly scuttles at Vi, but his energy reaches first. Like before, it's a sweeping flood of power, telekinetic prowess that sometimes manifests as flame β thankfully, this time it does not, but it becomes something else instead. Something brittle and sharp and unforgiving, and maybe it's what his eyes lock on first that gets the brunt of it, targeted that way. The first limb he sees, stares at: one of the girl's arms.
He doesn't hold back. The bone will snap in one single motion, with a sickeningly loud sound like a tree branch broken in two.
If this doesn't get her out of his way, he'll break other things next. )
AND I AM SO LATE as I play tag catchup.... (cw: bone breaking)
