Jaina, at least, had been given an overview of who was here from her galaxy. Anakin had managed to cover that much at least. She was sure there was still a lot she needed to learn about, but she's not surprised.

It's mildly surprising to actually see him so young and clearly having just woken up, but she takes it more or less in stride. "Morning, Uncle Luke."

Anakin must have told him, right?

Talking to others? In this family? It's more unlikely than you think!

Luke stared at her mutely, his expression more akin to a puppy dog that just got presented with something he didn't know what to do with. He... might have had a conversation with Ani about siblings, but he couldn't recall at the moment. There certainly wasn't any mention of them being here.

"Um..." he muttered, running a hand through sleep tousled hair, not sure what to even say. "Morning?"

Nailed it.

"So sometimes you do feel groggy in the morning like the rest of us." SHe flashes a grin that rather clearly labels her as her father's daughter. Though she's still assuming Uncle Luke knows who she is.

"The caf here's okay." And little brothers don't say it'll stunt her growth, so there's that.

He was not awake enough for this; now all of a sudden there were female versions of Han running around? At this point in this place, he didn't doubt that this was just another version of his best friend from an alternate universe, and not a niece that Anakin failed to mention.

"I'm still trying to find something better," Luke admitted, his tone cautious.

"It's possible Anakin and I grew up around unusually strong caf." Between a pilot dad and a mom who was running the galaxy, there was a lot of caf that she wasn't technically supposed to drink yet but if she was left unsupervised so be it...

Luke's brain came to a screeching halt at that; okay, there goes the theory of this being a female Han, unless she was talking about his father, but he doubted that. His mouth worked for a moment, trying to come up with words, before he rubbed at his eyes as if that would help.

"Okay, I... think we need to take a step back a moment," he began.

"We do?" Some of the connections were pretty confusing, but other than being the wrong age she thought Uncle Luke would be pretty straightforward, especially since Anakin was already here.

[faithfulson]

He normally was straightforward -- painfully blunt in his honesty, actually -- but he was still half in a brain fog, and the possibility of this young woman being some strange delusion brought on by this place wasn't entirely off the table either.

"Can we start off with introductions?" he asked.

"Wait, did Anakin not tell you I'm here?" Little brothers, what can you do? They're always forgetting about something. That's why she's the Responsible One. "I'm Jaina."

She's assuming he at least mentioned that she and Jacen exist. That seems like a thing a person would want to mention to a temporally delayed uncle.

"Jaina... Solo, I'm presuming?" he asked, tilting his head.

Jaina grimaces. Anakin is definitely going to hear about this. "Yeah. I'm Anakin's older sister."

And no she doesn't care that she is clearly younger than him and shorter. Older sister.

"This is apparently what happens if he's left unsupervised."

[faithfulson]

"Older" sister, hunh; Luke raised an eyebrow at that one. Apparently, some of the time shenanigans were painfully specific.

"Well, we'll just have to scold him when he decides to ooze himself out of his pod," he finally replied, tossing in a quick wink to let her know that now that he had some context, he could be comfortable in uncle-mode with her.

She doesn't miss that look. "Just because he got older and taller doesn't mean he isn't my little brother. He still forgets to mention important things."

So this is just going on a list of things he's hearing about when he wakes up.

Luke chuckled softly at that, his face lighting up with a warm smile. Oh, Anakin was definitely going to get it from the both of them, and he didn't really feel that bad about it at the moment.

"So, aside from how much trouble your little brother is in, what else can I get to know about my little niece?"

[forcechanic]

How do you tell an uncle who's been such a major figure in your life about yourself? How is that even supposed to work.

Where does she start. "I like working with machines. And flying, I love flying. Did Anakin at least tell you about the Jedi Academy?"

[faithfulson]

"I... supposed as much, considering his own training, though he never gave me any specifics," Luke replied, before going to sit down. He had a feeling this was going to be a long conversation.

"What else should I know that your brother has failed to mention?"

[forcechanic]

"I'm assuming if he never told you about me, he also forgot to mention I have a twin brother named Jacen?" It seems a pretty safe guess. "That's all of us, by the way."

[faithfulson]

"Good, so if any other children show up, I'll know they're from a different version of our reality," he replied, a small smile coming to his face. "By the way, if you've met a man named Kylo by now, he's one of your brothers from what seems to be a less kinder reality."

He wasn't going to mention that he was from that same reality; that didn't seem fair for her, especially since her little brother left out so much.

"He is?" That would be a yes on having encountered this particular individual. "Nobody tells me kriffing anything!"

Yeah. She just totally swore in front of Uncle Luke. "Sorry. Nobody tells me anything."

[faithfulson]

He gestured placating, not surprised she had the mouth of a smuggler. Look who her father was, after all; and besides, he wasn't going to tell on her if Leia showed up.

"Don't worry, he's the only one that I know of that's here," he replied, before adding, "and there are only two or three possible realities that I know of, as well."

[forcechanic]

"I'm not sure only have one brother from a different timeline is reassuring when I thought I had zero." Her day just took a turn for the weird here. "Does everyone have multiple realities here?"

[faithfulson]

"Possibly?" Luke replied, before finally going to sit down, running a hand through his frumpy hair. It was clear they were going to be talking for awhile, so he may as well make himself comfortable.

"There are so many different ways our lives could have gone differently," he began, almost sounding like he was teaching for a moment. "It's fairly safe to assume others would be the same way."

[forcechanic]

She's used to his teaching moments. "LIke the entanglement that makes the quantum relays work, but about people's choices instead of electron spins."

It's all very philosophical. "I guess if Anakin forgot to tell you about Jacen, it makes sense that he forgot to tell me Kylo Ren is related to us from a certain point of view."

[faithfulson]

"Exactly," Luke agreed, a little proud that she was able to pick up on it that easily. "Each spin leads to a different reality, and it may not even be a spin that is anything major. It could just be a simple choice that leads to grander consequences later on."

He smiled faintly. "Considering your brothers, I'm not surprised they didn't say anything. Don't worry; I'm sure you'll make sure they don't live it down."

"I'm the oldest, it's my job to make sure they never live anything down." Maybe that's what throws her off so much about this Kylo Ren guy. Being the oldest is complicated.

"So there's a universe where I don't exist and this guy exists instead. Could there have been a spin where there was never an Empire?" Quantum entanglement is one thing but how big could it get?
