Compared to the headbutt he dealt Paul's forehead that day, this one is practically a gentle form of greeting. He makes a garbled sound of protest when Paul retaliates, but he makes no resistance. He's used to people ruffling his hair.
"I'm the egg," he explains with a straight face and points at himself with his scarred hand. His hair stands on end from Paul messing with it. He looks and sounds rather insane. This has to be a joke, except Midoriya was never a good actor.
"This was back when I was first learning to use this Quirk. You met me well after that." He remembers talking to Paul about how visualizations helped him control his power, but here he elaborates (rambles) about his first: "This one's kind of plain and corny... When All Might asked me to describe how my first use of super strength felt, all I could come up with was an egg exploding in a microwave--which is a bad way to heat up an egg, actually. What I mean to say is, the power was hard to control, and I had to find the feeling of holding that heat in me but not letting it explode, uh, me. Or my bones."
