With everything that happened, he's already more than glad that Robby is allowing himself some moments to stay here and try to rest after everything that happened, rather than carrying all the hurt with him and leaving.
And it's not like Daniel really minds doing any of this stuff himself. Cooking is fun, and-- well, maybe washing his gi after changing clothes and cleaning up the dojo after so many people have been over a little less so, but those things aren't exactly bothersome either. He'll get them done, especially since actually seeming to have managed to do some good for a boy he's so fond of is giving Daniel some renewed energy.
He raises to his feet too. If not just so he can give the other a last slight shoulder squeeze before letting go again.
"I'll let you know when the food is ready. Go rest up."
