"Very much so. He doesn't let many people in for a lot of reasons." Many of the same ones that make it difficult for Maul like trusting people and not letting his emotions get the better of him all the time. "So it always feels like it's such an honor to be one of those that he gives that privilege to." Maul was determined never to betray Reaper's trust ever again, not after he'd been lucky enough to get a second chance with his mate after he'd done so the first time.

And something which took Maul a lot longer to understand himself, that he couldn't do whatever he wanted if it meant hurting Reaper and breaking his heart.
