[ After a week or so in Trench, it becomes clear to Ariane that her unsteadiness and lack of stamina isn't a reborn-as-a-squid thing, and probably has something to do with her many years of illness. While she's grateful to Trench for healing her, she knows that she'll need a little extra help if she wants to walk any kind of distance without getting winded, or hold her wife tightly. (That last one is especially important.)
