Even leaving aside the fact that it all sounds so fantastical, it's the sort of thing that Robby shouldn't have to be dealing with at his age. Corruption, demons.. the death of a father, even if it might not have been permanent.

Daniel sucks in a breath, and then slowly releases it. Even without Robby looking at him, he continues to look over at the boy. ]

I'm sorry, Robby. [ It doesn't sound like a personal sorry, because Daniel doesn't really have anything to apologize for here. Instead he just feels sorry that Robby has to deal with all of this in the first place. ] I'm glad that you and Peter got to talk.

[ And that it happened in a relatively civil way, like Daniel both believed in and hoped for. ]

.. but I know it still isn't easy.

[ And while acknowledging that doesn't do much about the problem, nor are they some magic words that could take away Robby's pain, it's still something. It may be the only thing Daniel is able to do here - acknowledging the other's pain in the first place. Remind Robby that it's okay to feel this way, even if it hurts. ]
