[ There's parts about this story already familiar to Daniel. The struggle Peter has been having - something the man has been vaguely aware of even before Peter's confession about the demon just now. Since he had spoken of his circumstances back home before, even if it had been in much vaguer terms that Daniel had barely been able to understand, other than realising they were bad, that Peter had been losing himself somehow.
But it's not just the parts about Peter that are familiar. Something about the way Robby sits there is familiar too, and Daniel wonders how many times he's already seen the other hurt by now.
(More times than he'd ever want to, being the answer.) ]
He told me it helps.
[ At least he feels like he can pass this on to Robby. Nothing that will fix everything, but a bit of light in the middle of all the heaviness. A slightly more positive spin.
And it's not like it's a lie. Peter had told him just now, after all. ]
Being here at Miyagi-do. Meditating. Peter said it helps him with keeping Paimon at bay, and feeling a bit more in control of himself. [ Which Daniel is infinitely grateful for, honestly. This dojo is here to teach self-defense in a place where it's needed even more than back home, sure, but Daniel also desperately wants it to be a place where all these hurt kids can find something a little lighter.
Community. Hope. ]
That's all thanks to you bringing him over in the first place, Robby.
