Had Luz stayed on the Boiling Isles, she would have known her first real relationship with Amity, but because of Deerington, her first relationship in this timeline WAS Lexi. It wasn't anything Luz had been prepared for, but falling for her and how they became girlfriends seemed to come together naturally.

She could be herself, she could gush over cute things on one day, and then perform a blood ritual the next. She kept no secrets from Lexi, and being that way helped Luz realize just how much she cared about the other girl. No one ever made her feel like that, someone Luz could be vulnerable with and not care.

Luz felt more than comfortable with Lexi: she wanted to make it her goal to make her girlfriend smile a little more each day. She deserved that and more, after everything she'd been through.

"No sore throat, promise! But uh...we can still try some of that gelato anyway? Please?"

Luz would always be a sweets girl.

In this case, Luz was going to need a blood transfusion before the next ritual, from a different blood type. That was going to be a must.
