While he's willing to learn, Dabi's operating on what he knows of his world's versions of vampires. Obviously they're not the same, Mayerling's world and his own, but hey, who better to fact check with than a vampire in person? He's squirreling the information away in his head for little more than personal amusement. Probably write it down later. Who knows if it'll come in use.

"That ain't really a problem if ya live near a city or somethin." The way Mayerling talks suggests he's out by his lonesome for long periods of time, enough that a hunger strike is a real problem. At least that's what Dabi's getting from the comment. That or simply ease of access. "Vampires from my world tend to attack whenever they're hungry. Some make it obvious; some are stealthy." The fictional ones, since real vampires aren't, you know, real in his world.

There could definitely be a vampire Quirk. (There's a zombie one, though it's only temporary, and affects the user too.) Dabi isn't sure a vampire Quirk would be as elegant as Mayerling. "Ya mean like hypnosis, movin shit with their thoughts, and being seductive assholes?" Maybe not so much the last one, but... pushing buttons.

Dabi shrugs and gestures with his hand. "Go for it. These are the tools I got." Which appear to be heavy-duty but archaic precursors to a microscope, a set of saws and pliers, and a few molds with lids. Dabi also pulls out a metal pan with raised rims, conveniently clipped to the underside of the table. It looks like it's been used before...
