Break's momentarily goopy mood perks right back up again at this progress. He genuinely likes the lamps. They might be his favorite thing about the place so far, which is saying something, given that in many ways he's rather determined to hate it. Their usefulness is undeniable, and it's a reassuring thing that if he finds himself irredeemably lost, he can simply badger someone into pointing him to the nearest lamp, pop home, and start over.
