However, spurred on or not, Luca can't strike again if Midiyora isn't there. When his prey leaps out of the water, Luca surfaces and, seeing him in a cluster of shallow tidepools, he stands up to attempt pursuit. Though Luca's grown a lot since his arrival in the Trench, standing on land makes it clear that he's still distinctly smaller than Midiyora.
