Anoud grins at Sharon's declaration. "That's the warrior's spirit," he says. "Never give up simply because it looks like you'll lose." He's confident in his skills—he just stopped a conflict with them after all. Yet it says something that even Anoud knows such circumstances (and fights regardless).

"Once you learn to read them, Johan will always be an open book," Yara says while tapping her husband's hand. He doesn't even scowl, only muttering something about how fortunate it is not everyone can do so.

Mayerling rubs his thumb across the back of Sharon's hand. His face is somewhat flushed, but for all it's modestly embarrassing, he's happy. Truly joyfully happy to be embarrassed by his mother yet again. "Sharon took me on the most incredible date," Mayerling says. "You're thoughtful. Incredible."

No embarrassment about being soppy in public. He raises her hand and kisses it.
