Some base instinct in the creature knew it had to defend and shield against these attacks. Without thinking, its skin began to coat itself in ice as a kind of protective armor, the ice flexing and moving with its body as it ran and gave chase across the rooftops. It was fast and agile, using those long claws for grip and traction, ripping holes into the tops of the buildings they ran across.
