( ooc: this is a catchall for Lance this November after his conflict with Reaper and then Maul, though I am trying to keep my new threads this month limited in number, if you have CR with Lance already you are welcome to come plot something with me here or on plurk at spypigeon and we can start something here in this log or I may ask to wait till next month while I get his inbox more caught up and under control if I've already got too much going on, either way I'm happy to plot always! )

[Hunk glances around the room once more, at the ceiling, considering the best way to get to where he would need to get.]

Depending on what I can get my hands on, a couple hours tops.

[Lance blinks and raises his brows, but honestly, he's not that surprised. Hunk is smart and talented and he huffs a bit of a laugh and says lightly:]

Man, I so don't deserve a best friend as awesome as you.

[It's meant to be light, he's chuckling and grinning as he says it. But it dislodges something in his chest and after a moment his brows draw together. Oh…]

[Hunk gives a playfully dismissive shrug, resting his weight on his hands propped up behind him.] No one's more deserving of a friend as awesome as me than you, buddy.

[He turns his head toward Lance just in time to see his brows furrowing, and his tone grows a bit more concerned.]

Lance, you okay?

[He lays there glancing down like he's practically trying to see through himself to where his feet are dangling over the edge of the access hole leading to the loft. Does he have the capacity for another breaking open of his emotions today? He doesn't know.]

I… yeah. [His eyes close, brows drawing together and he makes himself admit it, his head shaking back and forth in case the word doesn't come. It does come, but it's very quiet.] …No.

[Hunk's brow mimics Lance's furrow, although there's a deep layer of empathy and care behind his. He lays on his side to face Lance, propping his head up on his hand and reaching out to give his shoulder a gentle squeeze.]

Let it out if you need to, buddy.

[For a long moment it looks like he's holding his breath and his eyes dart to the other side a few times intermittently. Almost like he's looking at or listening to something only he can see, but also just trying to process. That morning, he kind of unexpectedly unloaded on Bolin and even though it was not that long ago, it's just a blur of complex pain and word vomit that only scraped the surface.]

I… don't even know where to start, man… I mean, how- how do I- [he gestures helplessly with a hand] …after all that?
