[It's a sweet sentiment, in a way, and Break likes her all the better for it. It can't ever be anything but good to look at torture and find it disgusting.]

Things were a little more complicated than that, but. Looking at this moment alone in such a simple way, you're quite right.

[Break finds it simple, anyway. He's not the one completely lost to the backstory, here. But the memory is moving much more quickly, now -- just as Break has promised, something abruptly catches the attention of memory-Break, and the old woman. They look stunned for half a second, then hopeful, and as the duchess smiles to herself in satisfaction, Break's hands are suddenly free. He wastes no time in scrambling to Sharon's side, pulling her close and away from the Baskervilles.

The Baskervilles, in turn, are scrambling away from Break. Something dark and scary is manifesting in the air behind him.]

Here we are. [Knowing she'll ask, Break continues:] That is the Mad Hatter. My Chain -- call it a demon, of sorts. You know, I believe you're the first person here to really get a proper look at it?

[The darkness squirms and writhes, unfolding itself into a violet cape with a fetching top hat perched on top, decorated with such edgelord accoutrements as a skull and a broken pocket watch, thorns and roses around the brim. Within the hollow of the cloak, a decidedly unpleasant red eyeball opens itself up, staring intently at the red-cloaked figures. The Baskervilles fly immediately into a panic, and meanwhile, despite the terrible shape he's in, memory-Break places himself between them and the others in captivity with him.

The Pandora agents look relieved. Pandora's Strongest is on his feet, with Pandora's Scariest, Sheryl Rainsworth, watching the proceedings calmly.]
