"Anytime. And yeah, folks are...really tolerant here. I think because we've already seen and been through so much that very little surprises us anymore. People are just... people, y'know?"

That's how Varian sees it, anyway. And sure, when people are fresh off the metaphorical boat, they need time to adjust- but in his experience, they learned pretty damn quickly how to be decent people and not treat others differently for what they were.

Because Varian is really back at talking about what's bugging him too. It's going to be stark lesson for him a few weeks.
