"I do try to keep to myself most of the time," Chin Yisou replies. "Yet, when curiosity takes hold, I enjoy finding company to observe the oddities that occur in this land."

Despite being in Trench for only a couple of months, the demon has learned that solitude can mean self preservation. On the other hand, when investigating the strange phenomenon of the world, it's better to seek help. After all, one never knows how dangerous a quest can be.

"I don't recall many details of my past life," he continues. "Though perhaps, it is for the better."

The demon finds it irrational to dwell on what's gone. Instead, being grounded in the present brings one less reasons to find regret.

"Despite the harsh climate," Chin Yisou smiles half heartedly. "Trench is a fascinating place. There's so much magic to explore and I think that my older self would not have believed so."

It's difficult to know for certain, but Chin Yisou does have a feeling that his old life was one with much to regret. Moreover, the person he was may have been confined to a system rather than being free to explore his own individuality. Regardless, the demon shakes his head- It's better not to think too much on that. Chin Yisou sighs then turns to Luz.

"You seem to remember your past," he points out. "Does that make it hard to live in this new life?"

The concept of life and death may seem vague. After all, there is only so much a living being can come to understand.
