Wei Wuxian | The Untamed

Winter Mourning
CW: Death, fighting

He had placed the antlers on the inside of the front door of his house. He had hoped that he could watch them this way. Since he isn't necessarily trusting of the traditions of this place, he wants to make sure whatever happens is only happening to him and not to others. So he figures if the only one who sees it is him, then that will keep them safe.

Of course this plan isn't exactly fool proof. Since his home also moonlights as his store. Full of things that he gives or trades to people who need some help fighting the blood symptoms that seem to bother them on occasion. Plus he has a healthy new crop of mushrooms he is experimenting with.

So when he sees it glowing from the shop, he leaves his patron to investigate it. He excuses himself for a moment, not wanting to miss it just in case the glow is temporary. When he reaches out he knows it is a mistake almost instantly.

The scenery around him changes, leaving behind the warmth of the house and instead opens on a place he hasn't seen in over a year. And even longer then that when he realizes that this is the Lotus Pier of his youth and not the current leadership. His heart freezes in his chest as he realizes this is another of the tests and it is definitely not going to be a pleasant one. He can already see the smoke rising from inside the sect walls. The sounds of battle as the Jiang family members battle against the Wen sect.

Wei Wuxian hurries to the side of the building. He knows how this plays out. He knows he probably can't stop it and it would be useless to try. He is smart enough and knows the games of these worlds. He climbs onto the roof just as he did all those years before. He watched as the people inside the home he has known for most of his life are brutally murdered.

"Why are you showing me this? Isn't living through it once bad enough?"

He shouts it to the sky as if the answer might come from somewhere if he just asks it loud enough. Unfortunately it seems that is enough to alert some of the Wen sect members inside as they turn towards him.

"Thats...not supposed to happen." He says as he notices the glance, ducking down and hoping they don't come to investigate.

Lockjoint
He has had a fairly steady flow of people through his door as he tries to help them with the strange stiffening up that their bodies seem to be undergoing. It's hard to keep up but he had offered his services up and so the least he can do is try to help them find ways to get rid of the stiffness.

Unfortunately not everyone likes it when he says the best way is to let out the magic from the joint. At which point he often will hold up a small dagger. For those that chose to avoid that way of things he gives them some ointments to try and keep the joints more mobile.

But this particular guest appears ready to take the knife so Wei Wuxian is currently cleaning and sterilizing it to get it ready. "Not everyone seems particularly fond of this method but I promise you it is the fastest way to get rid of the stiffness."
