It's okay if you never get there, too. ( Rose makes sure to say. She's not too experienced with giving advice, and this isn't really an attempt to. She's an accidental observer to this young woman's intimate memories, which involve parts of a clearly unhealthy relationship. It's certainly not her place to try to give any kind of direction to someone she's barely glimpsed.

But mostly she just... wants her to know someone's listening. If her own daughter were this age, had this kind of experience, Rose would want her to know the same. So it's less like advice and more conversation, opening up and sharing her feelings on the matter. )

And it's funny, I used to think... forgiveness was this goal to strive for. You know? Forgive what people have done to you, how they made you feel. .....But my daughter actually taught me recently that isn't always the case. That it's okay not to forgive certain things, certain people, or even just to wish them the best. I think it's something that's... only yours to control.

( ...Granted, by "daughter" she really means the demonic version of her daughter who'd been waiting 30 years to exact horrific revenge on the cultists who'd done horrible things to her. Rose helped her do it, and she'd help her again. )
