[Zib seems to finally notice Varian now--perhaps the shouting had managed to break him from being so absorbed in this memory of the past to have blocked out the obvious person out of place.
Or at least, it seems that way since he finally turns his head and looks right at Varian now in surprise. And given that he isn't wearing his makeshift hood at the moment, Varian might realize a few things seeing him here. Dib has a healthier skin complexion, normal teeth and nose and ears... like a regular human child. His glasses are even fixed, no cracked chip in the right lense like how it is in Trench.
He opens his mouth to say something--maybe to ask what Varian is doing there, or maybe who he even is since Varian looks vastly different than normal--before he seems to think better of it, and starts to walk again.]
Zim should be home right now. I have to go before I lose this opportunity to catch him.
