He understood what Luz meant quite well but wasn't sure he agreed. Even with just trying to mind his own business, there were times when other Sleepers had hurt him, which had done nothing to help with the various trust issues that still plagued his mind.

Of course, Maul was failing to take into consideration that relishing in being a monster and the way he hurt others wasn't quite the same thing but sometimes he could be a bit obtuse like that.
