Maul hasn't talked about this with many people. He doesn't feel they need to know how or why the complicated relationship he has with Obi-Wan has evolved to the point it has. But Luz has asked, so he'll at least tell her as much as he would tell any of his other confidantes.

"I learned much about him while being here....and much about myself. After I witnessed the memories of my death and speaking with Obi-Wan over and over again, I came to realization that he wasn't the sole cause of all the miseries of my life. That blame lies with my master. Obi-Wan has always just been the easier target for me to focus on. It was only at the end of my life as I lay dying that I finally realized that. But knowing the future here means I have a chance to be different, to not let that hate and anger fuel my actions for the rest of my life."
