[ Wu is wholly focused on trying to get this monster, and swings the mace for it, but then Fern comes out of nowhere and slams the monster to the ground. The mace is still swinging, but instead of hitting a monster, it hits nothing and Wu is spinning, forced onward by the weight of the mace. He does two whole rotations, getting dizzier before the mace hits the ground and he heaves a breath.
But then he looks up and the third beast is headed right for him. It takes his mind a minute to figure out what's happening, and this time, his usual flight reflex takes precedent and he lets out a shriek and starts to run in the opposite direction ]
