[Once Keith is in the boat, he lets his tail fin sit in his lap because it's more comfortable that way if he's going to be rowing. The wound on the meat near it is starting to scab over, but getting in the boat caused a little dribble of blood to start sliding down his scales.

Then he gets to rowing out over to the farther shores, which aren't too far so it's not exactly a long trip. Especially since as Lance said, he's a lot stronger as a fish, and his row strokes take them an impressive distance with each go.]
