"No, that... sounds kinda nice," he gets a little distracted then, too, because he had those friends, and he misses them something awful. He shakes his head. "Hey, I think you're doing pretty good. You wanna keep going?"

Or, go get a drink with him, because this Anna is being open and kind and telling him nice things about himself and he isn't good at handling that. "Uh, and thanks. I'll remember that. You're a good friend."

That's kind of hard to say, but he's glad he did. She's his best friend here (aside from Flynn), and even if he can't say it to the version of her that he's close to, it's still... it still matters.
