L has expressed at points in the past that much of what he excels at is far from passion. Where he excels can be a refuge when he's out of his element, though, so he's been spending more time than usual in the Archives. For whatever reason, in spite of his highly logical nature, he places great stock in intuition, and the way the Archives are "organized" lends well to his often odd, spontaneous, and creative thought process.

He glances up when Lucius addresses him, slipping some of his most recently-read volumes into a stack for later re-shelving. Though L typically looks like something underfed and bug-eyed that crawled out from under a bed, he's shed this month to be unusually handsome, with a chiseled bone structure and posture so strong and straight that it could belong to a dancer.

Only a matter of time before he ruins it, even if he doesn't shed back to his typical appearance... but for now, it's a wildly different perspective to live as one not in pain, who receives smiles on the street just for being so nice to look at.

"A... particular section?"

He chews on the inside of his cheek, slipping his hands into the pockets of his coat.

"That's not really how it works in here. I've found that dropping all preconceived notions about how to sensibly arrange a collection has, paradoxically, been the most beneficial."
