[ The skies above Trench are a morass of abominations that not even Tanya dares approach; her survival instinct will brook no argument on that point. So in a big way, she as an aerial mage has had her wings clipped. But flying at lower altitudes is still largely safe -- safer than ambling around as a weak-looking target on the ground, at any rate -- and so she takes advantage where she can, cruising the coast for things she might use to barter until she decides on what to do as a serious occupation.

Monsters are a depressingly common sight, but the comfort of elevation affords her time to observe them in detail. With an observation formula she can view them almost as well as if she had binoculars, and in this way, she can form best plans of attack from a distance -- or snipe them, if they seem especially dangerous. The one she's spied this time seems to be in some form of misery, though. There's some blood, but contained to the creature's immediate self, so it wouldn't appear to have gotten into a fight and fled. Illness? Parasites? She has no personal interest in knowing the reason, but if she ends up killing it, she'll want to know if its corpse is a ticking time bomb.

So she descends for a closer look, silent except for the quiet rustle of her cloak and the rattle of her gun as she unslings it from her shoulder. A quiet voice from the monster's lips gives her pause, though. It might even sound a little familiar...

She continues to hover, carefully out of reach but close enough to speak and be heard without difficulty. ]
