And he wants to do something about that, and not just for tonight. He nods his thanks as he accepts the mushrooms, putting them with the rest of the ingredients. Then he turns to Dirk and motions to a point above his head. ]

This could become a more regular occurrence, if you'd like it to... Eating together. [ Feeding Dirk, really, because K doesn't eat much either, by design. But he usually will eat more when he's injured, since it helps speed up his already accelerated healing process, as does extra sleep. He idly wonders if these are the kinds of details about his physiology that Dirk might be interested in.

His expression becomes a bit shy as he amends: ] Or I can even just drop off my latest attempts at new recipes for you to try, because I do enjoy cooking as a hobby. [ So Dirk wouldn't always have to play dinner host if he doesn't want to; K certainly doesn't want him to feel smothered by his concern or romantic gestures. Even if he thinks Dirk really could stand to have someone in his life who actually cares about his welfare in these ways. And K would like to be that someone. ]
