Maul's adrenaline is still up when he releases her and he watches as her movement is....off in a way he can't quite place as he watches closely. He'll figure that out later on.

As it stands, he's just embarrassed at being caught singing by anyone, his cheeks still burning up with the emotion. "I don't," Maul says gruffly. "Not where anyone can hear." It's a very personal thing for Maul to do, which is why he's never within earshot of anyone when he does so. Malice comes trotting up towards Maul and he pets behind her small ears in an absentminded fashion, body language from Maul that lets her know she's not to attack whoever he is talking to.

"Okay. Sure you don't." She doesn't sound convinced, but as pushy as she tends to be, it's not about silly things like that. If he doesn't want to talk about the singing, that's fine.

She huffs out a breath and tries not to smile as she sees him petting Malice. "What are you up to out here?"

There's nothing accusing or particularly probing in her voice. She keeps it purposefully light, because giving him a chance means this is conversation to her, not accusation.

He's glad she doesn't press the issue. He's very self-conscious about singing in front of people and doesn't like to talk about it much at all. It's one of the few things that can actually embarrass him. Maul's socially awkward as it is under all the rage and psychopathic energy but Zari clearly has already figured that out. He definitely could use her as a manager.

"I just came out here to realign myself. It's been a long, long time since I just took a walk in the woods and was by myself. Not since I was a child." Back then, Maul absolutely loved spending time in the woods. Feeling all the life energy that went through the plants and animals around him was the first way he'd ever learned that he was Force sensitive.
