Early February - Step Right Up
Minako had plenty of things she could be doing. But it was that special month for her. The month of love and she was most certainly going to do something for it.

So Minako had set out a little table and chair and was currently sitting at it, a smile on her face and in front of her was a sign stating:

Love Goddess Minako Aino Free Love Advice or Matchmaking.

Of course Minako had plans for this month.

Volleyball
Minako had her hands on her waist and a smile on her face. She had been looking forward since she heard that guy talk about it. Volleyball. Something she loved and enjoyed. She didn't know who was going to turn up. She was slowly starting to get nervous as she waited to see who would turn up, getting excited as soon as she spotted someone and excitedly making her way over.

"Hey there, hi. Are you here to play?"

Chocolate, Chocolate For Everyone
Of course Minako was a sucker for anyone who would offer chocolate. She did love the sweet stuff and so had managed to give up some of her blood to getting a rather decent amount. But now as she looked down at what she had been given she started to wonder a few things.

Should she give them out to others or just eat them herself. It was honestly a bit tempting to just eat them herself and as the day went by that temptation only grew. Perhaps a distraction may be in order to stop her from staring at it any longer.

[OOC: For this prompt you can decide if you want our character to be given one or if Minako will have eaten one. You can have the extra choice of which one it will be if you'd like or else I will pick which chocolate.]

[Ok, she could DO this. There was no way that Amity would probably ever show her face, and she'd been here long enough to see death and blood and a bunch of other things a kid her age shouldn't know about.

But Luz was absolutely clueless when it came to the idea of love in the capacity of someone special. It had been a voyage between staying a kid and then being thrust into making sure she didn't die.

So...]

Right. So. Um. The matchmaking thing. How exactly does THAT work?

"Oh, but of course I am," she said as she grinned over at her girlfriend while she trotted over. She was busy doing a few stretches to make sure she was limbered up for the game, but clearly more than a little looking forward to this. "We have to make sure that we have ourselves a little bit of fun in the middle of all the craziness, don't we?"

She definitely wanted to ignore strange, creepy stalkers and terrible pain out of the blue for a day, and volleyball sounded like a good idea.

(OOC: We could go 2 on 2 with some generic NPCs if you want.)

Tinya arrived wearing a leotard with a skater skirt on over it. She didn't like wearing pants much, only when absolutely necessary. But volleyball did sound like fun and the Mistress knew that she should grab onto any bit of fun she could get in places like this.

When Minako approached her, Tinya grinned, saying "I know it's not exactly regulation, but if there's a problem, I can go home and change. I think there's a pair of bike shorts in there somewhere."

Ever since she washed up on the beach here, Chizuru has been surprised by this place every day - or perhaps even just every moment. It's like there is always something odd going on here, or something she doesn't quite understand.

Today seems to be yet another one of those days. Because there's a blonde girl sitting at a table, which isn't too surprising. Maybe it's some side-of-the-road-stall or something like that. But what makes it odd, is that little sign there on the table.

Chizuru waits for a moment where it looks like Minako has some time, and then she slowly approaches the table, looking a bit uncertain.

"Um.. excuse me." She nods her head, like some sort of mini-bow. "I'm sorry if this is an odd or a disrespectful question, but.. are you really a goddess?"

I'm glad that you asked.

[Minako was rather quick to get up from her spot and moving around to go stand by them]

It's very simple. People sign up and give a little bit of information, mostly likes and what they look for in a partner or friend if they want to just make a new friend and then I figure out who would be perfect based on those facts.

"Of course. If we didn't then I think we'd be a lot more worst off." Minako was pretty sure she wouldn't be as well off mentally if anything, but she also knew she would of had to keep going regardless for the sake of Usagi.

Which was why she was happy to have these moments of fun, or being close to those that she cared about the most in the world.

"But the question is do you really want to go up against me?"

"No it's best to wear whatever you feel comfortable in and can move in." Which she didn't mind, the usual clothing she would have worn at school was less shorts and more a leotard style bottom with a shirt on top.

"I have managed to grab a couple of random people who seemed interested so we can at least have a two verses two game."

"Yes, hello~" she said happily as she waved. She didn't recognise them so she assumed they must be new, which would make sense in a way. But Minako was quick to stand up, still giving off her signature smile as she put a finger to her lips.

"That is certainly a question to ask. I may or may not be." She... didn't actually answer the question at all.

Huh. Ok! That sounds simple enough! Heck, we had that weird thingy thing from Deerington that tried to do that, right?

[Luz hadn't known that was what it was for until later, but she'd never gotten a bite anyway, so clearly it wasn't as effective as it made itself out to be].

So is there some kind of questionnaire I have to fill out? I can do that!

"Then this is perfect. I use it for ballet practice, too." Her new home here has one drawback, no barre and set of mirrors to see how one is practicing along with feeling it.

"Sounds good to me. Whose side will I be on?"

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy?" she teased, winking back at Minako and giggling. Yeah, she'd eventually seen that movie with all the horror flicks that they used to air in the old days. "I certainly feel better when I'm adding a little bit of fun in here and there. Every day in fact."

Oooh, that was a question. She tapped her lips. Minako was absolutely going to kick her ass if she played today. that wasn't in question. "Well, I was thinking of being on your team, but if you're wanting to, we could have ourselves a little bet and I be on the other team." A bet she was all too ready to lose, definitely.

...

It's the exact thing Chizuru is noticing here too. For a moment she feels like she might somehow have missed the answer, or that it went over her head, because she knows that she's not the smartest person around..

But after staring at the other for a moment or two, Chizuru is slowly realising that no, it's not her. It's just that the answer Minako gave told her nothing! And Chizuru is entirely unsure how to interpret that.

It might be why she sounds a little more cautious as she speaks up again. "Is.. it a secret?"

Is that why Minako is being so vague about it?

[There was a lot that went on in that place, so she couldn't quite on point what that could mean. Was there something like this before then? Was she not original? Oh well if she wasn't that was okay.]

There is. At the moment it's not a lot mostly things like what you like or what you look for in a friend or partner. Also stating which you want also helps.

"Before I make my choice, I will ask what kind of bet." Because determining what it would be will help Minako decide how teams was going to be. This was okay at least.

Plus for them bets and such just seemed to start being a normal occurrence without her really thinking about it.

"Oh, you did ballet? That is a hard dance to do." So colour her impressed. Minako herself never tried for the fact she understood it was a lot of work and Minako now didn't always have a lot of time to do things.

"In this case I'm going to put you on the opposite team from me." She moved over towards the other side of the net, making sure there was at least one of the people she managed to pull into this was going to the other side.

"There we go. That should be even."

Minako wasn't sure if she was going to have fun with this or not. She should really be honest and truthful, but at the same time this seemed like fun.

So fun it is until she really should answer honestly. But instead Minako puts a finger up to her lips.

"Keeps people wondering if I am telling the truth or not and that is what draws people in. So I will ask do you think I am? I will be honest after you answer."

Yeah, the staggr thing that tried to give you a dating profile. I think?

[She was really confused about that, and honestly she still was mystified at how anyone could get romantically involved in Deerington in the first place].

Oh! See. I have a lot of friends, and I don't mind having more! I think it'd be nice to have someone special though. Maybe someone I can dream of spoiling a little bit, taking for a ride on the staff, going dancing with, talking and laughing under the stars, going for a boat ride and just relaxing...before the sea monsters or pirates come, of course!

Someone I think about that makes my heart flutter, I guess.

"It is, but I love it. I spent some time with the Paris Opera Ballet about four years ago. That was amazing." And she misses it, even with the Legion to take care of.

"That's fine. We should be an even match," she says, figuring that the other person can hold their own just fine, too.

"Ready when you are."

They were a pleasant, simple way to tease out more fun afterwards. Vira-Lorr had a way of making them a habit because of that. Anything to set up the next round of fun. She tapped her lips and nodded. "Well, if it's you against me, perhaps the loser gets to treat the winner to something afterwards? Of course that would work just as well if we were together. We'd just want to make sure not to lose!"

Please, Chizuru is definitely gullible to fall for it, regardless of what answer Minako gives here. Especially since she has ran into such odd things here already that the idea of there being a goddess among them isn't all that odd anymore..

"Um.."

And yet she seems to have to think about her answer here. Mostly since Chizuru really doesn't want to insult a goddess.

Which makes the safest answer here, just in case..

"I think you are.. if you're saying so, anyway. I don't think you would just lie about that." That's what Chizuru's heart says, anyway. Always way too willing to trust people.

Ah, I didn't really dabble much in that.

[As much as she loved love Minako had been at a point in her life where she had accepted it never happening. That has at least changed since then so that was something.]

That sounds really adorable and also all the good things I'm sure someone would love to do. [She was pretty sure odds of someone who was like that being around was likely. Minako was at least making sure she was keeping notes as well.]

Do you have a preference in terms of gender, or is that something you don't know or don't mind?

Oh, me neither. We had WAY worse things on our mind back then!

[Truthfully, Luz still wondered how Minako had managed to find companionship in Vira Lorr with all the stuff that was going on. Heck, how did VIRA LORR keep finding it? That would always be a mystery to her].

It's just ideals! Actually finding someone like that will probably be much harder!

[Luz thought a moment].

No, not really. I mean. I've always known I liked all genders, even the ones that aren't just boy and girl.

"But the question would be what that something is." Minako could probably think of a good number of things, but she felt like the other might just have something in mind. SO she figured to let her speak first just to be sure.

"Is the Paris Opera Ballet a big thing?" Because she really didn't know. but it sounded it and it seemed like the other really enjoyed it too.

She went to get into position before making sure she had the ball.

"Okay once you are in place I will serve."

Minako like the idea of a goddess and always called herself that, but she knew that wasn't exactly what she was. She was a warrior from Venus, which is still rather odd. But Goddess was just more fun honestly.

"Exactly. It would be a very odd thing to lie about. Besides even if I was the subject I am on about I am knowledgeable about anyway. I'm like an expert."
