[a]ct // frisk
[ the same day she's absolutely sure chara's back, she heads to their residence. she doesn't bother to ask for permission; she doesn't even bother to give them a heads up. the only warning chara or frisk will receive is a knock at the door, and (once it's opened) an apologetic: ]
Good evening, Frisk-san. [ her voice is softer than usual. she may be cold and cruel, but not to unrelated parties - especially ones as curiously mature as young frisk. ] Are the two of you doing well?
[ as well as can be hoped, that is. ]
[b]elittle // chara
[ chara doesn't respond the first time frisk knocks. that's fine; she has all the time she could wish for, after all. and while patience isn't her strongest suit, any good trapmaster knows when they have to wait.
so she spends time with frisk, teaching card tricks and playing games the whole while. and when enough time has passed, she approaches chara's door once more, knocking and casually saying: ]
Chara-san, I do hope you're awake. [ she leans in, making sure to enunciate. ] Though if you aren't, I'm happy to wait as long as is necessary.
[ the threat has a very different meaning, for the ones like them. ]

They did their best to look presentable, but they're still exceptionally pale, and the bags under their eyes are... noticable. Their dip in the water wasn't a pleasant one.]
You'll be waiting a long time then. What do you want?

[ she can't say she's particularly surprised to see them like this. dying is rarely pleasant; dying for such a long period of time when you shouldn't have to is a far worse surprise. the look in her eyes isn't concern, exactly, but at the very least it is sympathetic. ]
I wanted to discuss something with you. Privately, I'd assume. [ her tone should make the topic obvious enough for the both of them. ] And, truth be told, I wanted to check in on you. Both of you, really. I can't imagine anyone enjoys losing a roommate.

I appreciate you checking in on Frisk, then. I was a bit worried about them. [Chara approaches the door and opens it, welcoming Satoko inside and gesturing for her to sit at a small table Chara has in their bedroom.]
Tea?

[ listen. you don't have to let satoko in for conversations too often - okay, discounting right now, where she will pester you until you do exactly that - but you do need to treat your friends well in those worlds you stay in. it's one thing she's learned from this whole mess. ]
I wouldn't mind. Don't trouble yourself if it's only on my behalf, though.
[ she sits quickly and simply, in a surprisingly proper seiza. looks like she can be polite in some situations. ]

They fill up a kettle full of cold water, hold their hand against it and pour it into two mugs for the two of them. Their father was quite adamant about teaching them how to make a good cup of tea.]
I assume your concern is of a professional nature as a fellow looper?

They lost Chara, and under normal circumstances - someone losing someone so important to them would devastate them. However, the connection the both of them share isn't normal. Their SOULs are connected. Losing Chara was enough for Frisk to feel like they've lost a part of themselves. Now that Chara is back, Frisk is trying their best to resume what life they had here before.
They open the door, looking to Satoko with uncertain curiosity. )
... Uhm - hello. ( Frisk offers a quiet, uncertain greeting. ) You were doing magic tricks at the party. I didn't know you knew Chara.
( They open the door a little more, giving Satoko enough space to enter if they want to. )
Did you come here to see them?

[ anyone who turns back time is a force to be reckoned with. anyone who chooses to die with such great power is a fool or a witch. it only stands to reason she'd keep a close eye on such individuals, does it not? ]
Hmm? That was part of it, yes... [ she shifts from foot to foot, addressing chara no differently than she'd address another student. ] ...but in truth, you were also on the list. Have you been eating well? I imagine at least one of you knows how to cook, don't you?
[ she doesn't address the issue - not directly. but she's perfectly fine approaching the symptoms without a single hesitation. ]

I'm glad that they made a friend.
( If anyone knows about things like puzzles and traps - it's the both of them. They have their experience with such things, after all. )
... Kind of. ( They answer her next question. Unfortunately, neither of them are all that experienced when it comes to cooking... ) We don't really know how to cook, but we've been doing okay.
( At this point, Frisk's become used to eating whatever they can find. )
